Bahwa untuk memberikan pemenuhan masyarakat atas dokumen dan informasi hukum sebagai bagian dari upaya mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa dan menciptakan penyelenggaraan ketatapemerintahan yang baik, perlu dilakukan melalui pelayanan dari jaringan dokumentasi dan informasi hukum.
Dan untuk melaksanakan ketentuan Pasal 5 ayat (1) Peraturan Presiden Nomor 33 Tahun 2012 tentang Jaringan Dokumentasi dan Informasi Hukum Nasional, perlu membentuk organisasi jaringan dokumentasi dan informasi hukum di lingkungan Kementerian Koordinator Bidang Kemaritiman dan Investasi.
Untuk itu maka telah ditetapkan Peraturan Menteri Koordinator Bidang Kemaritiman dan Investasi Nomor 9 Tahun 2020 tentang Organisasi Jaringan Dokumentasi dan Informasi Hukum di Lingkungan Kementerian Koordinator Bidang Kemaritiman dan Investasi, yang dimana organisasi JDIH Kementerian Koordinator terdiri atas: Pusat JDIH dan Anggota JDIH. Pusat JDIH Kementerian Koordinator dilaksanakan oleh Biro Hukum. Adapun susunan organisasi JDIH Kemenko Marves, sebagai berikut:

Bahwa dalam rangka menunjang pelaksanaan pengelolaan dokumentasi dan informasi hukum dalam hal mengumpulkan, mengolah, menyimpan, melestarikan dan mempublikasikan Dokumen Hukum dan Informasi Hukum diperlukan pengembangan aplikasi Jaringan Dokumentasi dan Informasi Hukum (JDIH) Kementerian Koordinator Bidang Kemaritiman dan Investasi. Untuk itu maka telah ditetapkan Keputusan Menteri Koordinator Bidang Kemaritiman dan Investasi Nomor 160/S Tahun 2022 tentang Tim Pengelola Jaringan Dokumentasi dan Informasi Hukum Kementerian Koordinator Bidang Kemaritiman dan Investasi dengan Susunan Keanggotaan sebagai berikut:
